Making Homes Safer Shingle by Shingle

Our Services

Research shows lifting shingles during high wind speeds can “unzip” a cascade of shingles, causing extensive roof cover loss and tens of thousands of dollars in damages.

Our Shingle Resealing Program, offered exclusively to SageSure’s policyholders, can help prevent lifting shingles—and the damage they can cause.

The Shingle Resealing Program is available for purchase with homeowners policies issued through SageSure. To find a SageSure-affiliated insurance representative, click here.

HOW SHINGLE RESEALING WORKS

  • STEP 1: Leaf blower tests SHINGLe adheSion

A trained technician tests adhesion with a leaf blower. If the air from its fan can lift the shingle, hurricane winds will, too.

  • STEP 2: UNSEALED SHINGLES Are Identified

Unsealed shingles are marked with a water-soluble chalk that washes away in the rain.

  • STEP 3: resealed shingles are stronger

Industrial grade sealant improves the adhesive strength of the shingles to ensure a lasting bond.
