Making Homes Safer Shingle by Shingle

LifTLOCK PUTS THE SCIENCE
IN STORM READINESS

When properly bonded together, shingles overlap and lie flat to keep wind and water out. Unsealed shingles—typically caused by age, weather, and faulty installation—can lift and detach in high winds, removing overlapping shingles and potentially leading to tens of thousands of dollars in damage from water intrusion.

LiftLock’s innovative Shingle Resealing and Wind Defense programs provide well-researched and field-tested services that help reduce some of the most common causes of storm-driven roof damage. In other words, it’s one of the most cost-effective hurricane mitigation investments you can make.

Our Services

  • AVAILABLE IN TX, LA, FL FOR SAGESURE POLICYHOLDERS
Loose shingles are more common than you might think. LiftLock’s team found an average of 600 unsealed shingles per 2,000 square foot roof. That’s 600 opportunities for roof damage.

Restore your roof’s first line of defense against wind and rain damage with the Shingle Resealing Program. Depending on location, the program may help you qualify for private market coverage through SageSure or provide a premium discount.

COST DEPENDS ON SQUARE FOOTAGE AND NUMBER OF STORIES

HOW SHINGLE RESEALING WORKS

  • STEP 1: Leaf blower tests SHINGLe adheSion

A trained technician tests adhesion with a leaf blower. If the air from its fan can lift the shingle, hurricane winds will, too.

  • STEP 2: UNSEALED SHINGLES Are Identified

Unsealed shingles are marked with a water-soluble chalk that washes away in the rain.

  • STEP 3: resealed shingles are stronger

Industrial grade sealant improves the adhesive strength of the shingles to ensure a lasting bond.

“Our roof is only 4 years old, and they resealed 126 shingles.”
